• Breakfast begins at 8:00am.
• The Stop the Bleed Event will take place from 8:30am – 9:30am
• A morning legislative briefing will follow with appointments.
• Appointments with key policymakers and your elected representatives are scheduled from 10:30am and conclude at 4:00pm. 

Join the New York Chapter and the Brooklyn-Long Island Chapter for this year’s annual advocacy event.

All surgeons, including residents are encouraged to attend.  Participants will receive issue briefs and supporting materials prior to the event.

• Support: Comprehensive Study for Motorcycle Helmets (S320 / A214)
• Oppose: Single Payer (A5248 / S3577)
• Oppose: Inappropriate Scope of Practice Expansions

We will take the opportunity to thank the legislators for their efforts in Raising the Age for Purchasing Tobacco to 21! (bill now awaits signature from the Governor)

New this year! With support from Albany Med, we will host a Stop the Bleed Demonstration to raise awareness around proper bleeding control techniques! The Governor and all members from the legislature and their staff have been invited to attend.
