Surgeons continue to play a critical role in educating policymakers about important surgical advocacy priorities that impact health policy discussions in Washington, DC. The annual ACS Leadership and Advocacy Summit is a great place to learn more about communicating with Congress, put your advocacy skills to work, and more. Registration for the ACS 2021 virtual Leadership and Advocacy Summit is now live, and all members are encouraged to register and attend. There is no registration cost for ACS members and ACS Chapter Administrators. As in years past, the Advocacy Summit will follow the Leadership Summit and will feature several sessions highlighting critical health care policy matters that impact surgery and surgical patients. Additionally, the ACS Professional Association (ACSPA) political action committee, SurgeonsPAC, will host other engagement opportunities for members and SurgeonsPAC contributors.
