    Amplifying Surgery's Voice

    2024 Annual Advocacy Day

    Because a Surgeon's Responsibility to Patients Extends Beyond the Operating Room

    Join the New York Chapter for this year’s annual advocacy event.

    All surgeons, including residents are encouraged to attend. 

    Educate your Senators and Assembly members on reasons to support /oppose legislation that is crucial to your patients and your practice.

    2024 Legislative Priorities

    • Support Reductions in Administrative and Regulatory Burdens
    • Seek Utilization Management Reforms
    • Support Trauma, Cancer and Tobacco Funding
    • Support Comprehensive Medical Liability Reform
    • Oppose Inappropriate Scope Expansions
    • Further investigate the impact of universal coverage and a single payer system in NY

    Participants will receive issue briefs and supporting materials prior to the event.
